Blacksmith of Mammon

The Blacksmith of Mammon can be found in the various Catacombs (not Necropolis) at random times throughout the Seal-Effective period. He travels every 30 minutes so you may have to chase him down before you catch him. Un-equip your items first before speaking with the Blacksmith. You can perform the following tasks with him:

Exchanging Weapons

You can bring any D or C grade weapon and exchange it for a different type of the same level (same crystal value) This is free to do. Any +’s the original weapon has on it will be transferred over to the exchanged weapon.

The Blacksmith will also take any B grade Ancient Sword, Blunt, Bow, Crossbow, Dagger, Polearm, Rapier or Sword and [[Image:exchange it for a set of B grade fists. You cannot upgrade, trade for any other B grade weapon, nor can you exchange the fists back to the original weapon.

Please note that there has been some reports that for some odd reason you don’t see all weapons available all the time …. exchanging weapons back and forward is really the only solution. This is usually noted when trying to get a weapon that was added in C5 (Mysterious sword, Ecliptic Sword, Ecliptic Axe etc…Weapons Exchange Menu comeing next edit)

Upgrade Weapons

You can bring any D or C grade weapon and upgrade it to the next level and/or type with ancient Adena. Any + that the original weapon has on it will NOT be transferred over to the new weapon. The cost in AA will be the weapons base prices difference multiplied by 1.2 (approximately) so if the difference is 100k Adena you will pay 120k Ancient Adena (aa).

Unseal Items

A/S grade armor, shields and jewelry are in a sealed state when crafted or acquired as drops. Bring these to the Blacksmith along with ancient Adena to unseal them. Lineage 2 Armor

B grade boot/gloves can be unsealed/resealed by the regular blacksmith in town for free. Create Dual-swords:

Bring your swords to this Blacksmith to create A or S grade Dual-swords.

Add Special Abilities

Bring your A/S grade items to this Blacksmith to apply Special Ability crystals to your weapons. You will need the SA crystal and gemstones of the proper grade. (see weapons list)

The Blacksmith of Mammon can also remove Special Abilities from weapons.

Guide to Dwarven Craft

Dwarves make solid fighters, but they are most renowned for their craftsmanship, scavenging, and trade skills. Dwarves work tirelessly to create wonderous objects, and maintain a reputation as the greatest traders in the land. Dwarves learn the Create Item skill (also referred to as Craft Level) 1 at level 5. If you choose to be an scavenger this is the only craft level you will get. The Artisan and Warsmith classes gain additional skills of crafting as they progress.

Recipe Book

Double-click the recipe in your inventory to register it in the Recipe Book, which holds 50 recipes. You can remove registered items from the book, but the recipe will be destroyed. You can also increases the number of recipes that can be recorded in the recipe book by using fishing proofs

Crafting the item

Click the Recipe Book icon in the inventory and double-click the item in the recipe list to begin crafting. The Item Creation window shows the ingredients needed and MP consumed by creating the item.

A recipe tree is also available to show all items needed in order to create not only the end item, but any ingredients that are crafted as well. Once all the ingredients are gathered, click the Create button to make the item. It will appear in your inventory. For B grade and above armor/weapons you must have 2 recipes for the item. One already registered in your book and 1 to use in the actual creation.

Dwarven Manufacture

Usually in Giran, you will see dwarves with the words "private creation" in yellow above their heads. They are not selling nor buying but have set up some items from their recipe book and made them available to the public to craft at their pleasure.

Anything that is registered in the crafters book can be set up in this manner. They will have a set price for the craft.

If you are clanless or if your clan does not have a warsmith, these shops are a great way to get your items crafted. Most times if you don’t see what you need listed, doing a !shout of Looking for Crafter or sending an in-game PM to one of the dwarves will usually get you results.

Crafting soulshot at a private creation shop can work out to be cheaper than buying it outright, depending on how much you pay for crystals/ore.

Town Blacksmith

The NPC blacksmith in town can be used to craft certain items. Some things like base mats are not worth crafting with him as you need one copy of the recipe for each item (ie: if you want to make 10 braided hemp you will need 10 recipes!).

D, C and B grade Dual Swords can be crafted at the town blacksmiths. You will need adena and crystals OR adena and Stones of Purity and/or a Dualsword craftstamp depending on the type of sword. Also note not all blacksmiths make the same duals, you may need to go to the main cities to find what you need.

There are 4 items (molds) in game that only the town blacksmith can create: Leolins Mold, Warsmiths Mold, Arcsmiths Anvil and a Warsmiths Holder. You will NOT need to have the recipe for these, just the crafting mats and some adena.

Common Craft

All races, not just dwarf, can craft Common items. These are things like greater healing potions, dyes and party masks. Most of the mats you need will have to be obtained by fishing.

Your craft level is passive and goes up automatically as you level your character. It follows the same levels as the dwarven create item table above.

Blacksmith of Mammon

This blacksmith doesn’t provide too much in the way of crafting but he is the one to see to create A / S grade Dualswords. Check Blacksmith of Mammon for more information on the Blacksmith of Mammon.

Weapon Agumentation

Weapon Augmentation

Augmentation allows you to bestow a different power on to a weapon. Or course, you may have previously bestowed a special ability by using a Soul Crystal. But this is a simpler method than that.

Not too long ago, the Black Anvil Guild discovered a mysterious ore called the Stone of Life that possesses very similar characteristics to Soul Crystals. Bring me the Stone of Life and a weapon, along with several other necessary items, and I will be able to augment your weapon into a new one.

You should be aware that a Stone of Life is not quite understood as well as a Soul Crystal, so we don’t exactly know what kind of power will be bestowed at the end of the Augmentation. The Stone of Life that is used in augmentation is also greatly affected by its owner, so once a weapon is augmented, it can only be used by it’s owner. It the weapon’s grade is beyond your abilities, the augmented effect will not appear.

Oh, one more thing — you can restore a weapon augmented with a Stone of Life to its original state, but it may be costly. Think carefully about what you’d like to do.

image

Go to a blacksmith and click Augment Item. Drag and Drop all the items into the boxes. Click Augment. Poof you’re done.

Details

You can augment weapons through the Blacksmith NPC of every village, except in the starting villages for each race and Gludin Village.

All weapons that are C Grade through S Grade can be augmented. C Grade and B Grade weapons require Gemstone D, and A Grade and S Grade weapons need Gemstone C.

For each item to be augmented, a Life Stone and Gemstones are needed, along with the weapon the player wants to augment. Life Stones can be acquired from hunting monsters. There is a higher chance of obtaining a high-level Life Stone from raid/boss monster rather than from an ordinary monster. A Life Stone shows the level of the character who can use it.

For the augmentation order, select the weapon to be augmented, the Life Stone, and Gemstones in the Augment window. Drag and drop the items from the inventory to add them to the Augment window. Click the Augment button.

Blacksmith NPCs can also remove augmentations, and a fee is assessed during the process.

Bonuses Granted

The bonus granted during augmentation is random, determined by the levels of the Life Stone and the weapon. The success rate is 100%.

The types of bonuses include:

Increased basic abilities (STR, CON, INT, MEN)
Increased battle values (P. Atk., P. Def., M. Atk., Accuracy, etc.)
Additional skill (Active, Passive, Chance skill)
The bonus will not take effect when the augmented weapon has a higher grade than the character’s expertise level.

When a weapon is augmented, a prefix will be added to the weapon name.

More Details

The augmented weapon cannot be exchanged, dropped, traded, sold, freighted, or deposited in the clan warehouse. However, private warehouse storage is possible. An item that has had its augmentation removed can be transferred normally.

Weapons with special abilities or an enchantment can be augmented. It is also possible to add a special ability or to enchant augmented items.

Even if you remove a weapon’s augmentation, the special ability or enchant status will not change.

When a bonus is added while augmenting with a Life Stone that is above mid-grade, the weapon will glow.

An augmented weapon cannot be used for crafting dual swords.

An augmented weapon cannot be used to trade with the Blacksmith of Mammon.
